The Treasure Principle: Unlocking the Secret of Joyful Giving is written by Randy Alcorn who is an author and the founder of Eternal Perspective Ministries. Randy served as a pastor for fourteen years, and he holds degrees in theology and biblical studies.  He also taught on the adjunct faculties of Multnomah University and Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon.  Finally, he wrote more than forty books.

Alcorn explains:
"My ministry focus is communicating the strategic importance of using our earthly time, money, possessions, and opportunities to invest in need-meeting ministries that count for eternity."
The book begins with an introduction by the author. It contains six chapters, including the following topics:

Buried Treasure
Compounding Joy
Eyes on Eternity
Roadblocks to Giving
Getting Started
For Such a Time As This

In the back of the book there are sections titled "31 Questions to Ask God, Resources to Help You with Giving and Money Management, and End Notes." Randy Alcorn lists "Six Treasure Principle Keys" throughout the book.

This book covers the topic of the religious aspects of wealth in Christianity.  It was well written, and I could not put the book down. It can be read within a few hours. The author captivates you from the very beginning, and the book will LEAD YOU TO ACTION by the time you get to the end.  This book will change your life and outlook on how to use your time, talents, and money.
"You can't take it with you--but you can send it on ahead." is the slogan for this book.
I liked several of his quotes that I will share here with you:
"Giving isn't a luxury for the rich. It's a privilege of the poor."
"God is the greatest giver in the universe, and He won't let you out give Him."
"Jesus is keeping track of our smallest acts of kindness."
"Five minutes after we die, we'll know exactly how we should have lived."

See how I rate this book, below, on my Sheltie Rating Scale ...
